I am in the process of acquiring three new RIC HB pups with a view to mounting them in place of the 7.4K toasters on my MB 350V63.
I have a query regarding this...
Do I have to use the foam mounting rings that are usually used with HB's or can I use the vintage style rubber grommets already on the guitar with the toasters?
Just so I know if I have to order the rings and screws as well.
Cheers, Kez

You can use either the grommets or the foam pad.

Be sure to let us know how the HB's sound compared to the toasters on the 350.

Quote: Be sure to let us know how the HB's sound compared to the toasters on the 350. OK, will do! I will compare them to the 12k toasters in my other 350V63 and write up a review. Now all I gotta do is get those HB's shipped... Cheers, Kez

...OK it's a couple of weeks later and I got the RIC humbuckers in my hot little hands, I will visit my luthier next week to have them installed, I could do it myself but the priceless MB finish is probably just waiting for me to scratch it, so it's off to uncle doctor...
Then I will do a comparison with my 12k toaster equipped MG 350V63, I'm looking forward to this!

The HB equipped 350V63 has now gigged and been used for recording, this was a good idea after all!
Live it sounds great, solos are powerful and toneful, but for recording this baby now sounds even better than it does live, however I been so busy playing I have not had time to write that review yet, but I will...

If I had a 350, I'd probably put a humbucker in at least the bridge.
