Here's the latest Johnson Rick copy on ebay where the guy says he "needs to clear out some guitars to make some space and that's why this Rickenbacker (!!) is up for auction" The cheek of it!

{Address for deleted auction removed by moderator}

Thanks for posting this; however, we'd really appreciate it if auctions of this nature are reported to legal@rickenbacker.com directly.

After all, we really don't want to help this fellow publicize his auction, now do we?

...with seeing posted links to illegal copies all the time, maybe something like a
"Reporting Illegal Copy" button, with a user press popping up a "report to legal@rickenbacker.com"
message...or a locked sticky with the legal@rickenbacker.com address?

I'm not quite clear on this.
Johnson is a legit guitar and instrument company and have no RIC copies in their catalog.

Is this something they USED to sell?

Or is this a different "Johnson?"

Thanks.

From what I understand Johnson no longer make the Rick copies probably due to pressure from RIC. Good riddance.
I hear they made around 2000 12-string copies which were very well made but used inferior materials. The bodies are somewhat smaller than the real thing.
